Shipping Policy

We offer USPS first class shipping for items under 1 pound in weight.

For expedited delivery USPS Priority Mail is also offered for 2-3 day shipping and the rates are offered directly from USPS on our website. However, USPS Priority mail is not a guaranteed service by USPS. We also offer quotes for USPS Priority Mail Express which is a guaranteed service by USPS.

Orders placed weekdays before 12 noon will be shipped the same day. Orders placed weekdays after 12 noon will be shipped the following day. Orders placed after 12 noon Friday through Sunday will be shipped the following Monday. We normally ship via USPS so any federal holidays will cause shipments to be delayed until the following day.

Please note shipping charges are a pass through charge. In other words, Fountainlady.com does not sell shipping services. We offer all our products at the lowest price. The shipping charges are collected and paid out to the shipping carriers. Fountainlady.com is not responsible for the amount charged for a specific service. Sometimes shipping companies will undercharge shipping for a specific type of service. In these cases, we will ship the order using the shipping amount charged to determine shipping method.

All orders that have a different billing address than the shipping address will require a signature at delivery. Orders over $300 will require a signature upon delivery unless specific arrangements are made with us by the customer. Orders over $500 will require an adult signature upon delivery unless specific arrangements are made with us by the customer. We apologize for any inconvenience. We have had to initiate these policies in order to avoid losses due to fraudulent credit card charges.

Please contact us before placing your order if you require your order delivered by a certain date. Orders without a requested delivery date will be processed normally.

If you need your order to arrive within 2-3 days, please make a notation in the remarks and select the appropriate shipping method when you place your order. We will make every attempt to get your order to you on time using the shipping amounts charged on your invoice. However, if we cannot, we will contact you to make other arrangements.

If there is no indication in the remarks, your order may be shipped using a slower method based on the amount paid for shipping. Once the order is with the shipping company, we have no way to change the shipping method or stop the shipment. USPS offers a Deferral service but it costs almost twice as much as the original shipping and is in addition to amounts already paid for shipping.

Should you need faster shipping, please contact us and we will be happy to offer you a quote. However, please be advised that overnight shipping is limited in our area. Most overnight services must be delivered to the shipping office before 12N to arrive the following day.

We currently offer shipping services by USPS and Fed Ex. USPS Priority mail is usually the fastest shipping method from our area. Please note that only the shipping carriers provide their transit times for the selected shipping service. However, the provided transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed by the shipping carriers. We do not ship using any customer account numbers. USPS shipping charges are quoted directly by the carrier and added at the time your order is confirmed. A shipping quote will appear during the checkout process.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: We recently had a customer charged an additional $30 COD when picking up his package from USPS. Please notify us if this ever happens. The error was created by the place of business where he picked up the item. We were able to obtain a refund for the customer.

International Orders: We love to serve customers outside the United States. However, due to increases in shipping rates and international customs fees, we have found that the cost is usually too great for most customers. We do however, offer you a quote for shipping internationally.

When shipping internationally, any costs related to customs fees or taxes will be the sole responsibility of the customer once the order arrives in their country. There is no US sales tax or VAT on International orders. We will state the NET value of a shipment on an International customs declaration form. If applicable, the recipient is responsible for the payment of customs duties and/or local taxes. We do not accept responsibility of lost shipments due to foreign customs and foreign postal services. Customer assumes all responsibility once shipment leaves the United States.

Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable since we collect these fees and pay them back out to the shipping company.

Shipping transit times do not include the time it takes us to process your order.

Undelivered packages will be returned to us. In such case we will issue a credit for the products.

We reserve the right to refuse shipping any item.

Lost or Not Received Orders

Should the order show delivered but the customer did not receive the item, a claim must be filed with the appropriate shipping company by the customer. Once the package leaves our offices, we always send proof of shipping, we can not be responsible for the delivery by the shipping company. We will be happy to help with any claim filed by the customer, but lost shipment claims and refunds are between the customer and the shipping company.

Return Policy

We are totally committed to the satisfaction of our customers and to the quality of our products. If, for any reason, you do not like what you received, we will refund your purchase less shipping costs subject to the following conditions:

A Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA #) must be obtained before sending any items back. All non-authorized return packages will be refused and sent back to you.

When you request an RMA#, a return shipping address will also be provided.

All Return Authorizations requests must be made within 7 days of receiving your shipment. All returns must be received within 10 days of having the RMA # issued.

Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned.

Corset or Costume Returns: We provide a size chart for your convenience and ordering information as well as an estimated size based on waist measurements, under bust measurements or the applicable measurement for each of our clothing items. Please use the information carefully or contact us with any questions before ordering to ensure you get the correct size.

A restocking fee of 20% applies to ALL returned items. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. However, the restocking fee may be waived if the item and its box is received within the stated time limit and in the same condition as we have sent it to you.

Please note that we offer free shipping and flat rate shipping discounts. However, if an item is returned for refund, any additional shipping we paid in excess of what the customer was charged on the invoice, will be deducted from the refund. Also, return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer.

We may offer Free Shipping specials but, if a customer receives Free Shipping, and subsequently returns products from this order which causes the order total to fall below the threshold for qualifying for free shipping, the shipping charges paid on the original order will be deducted from the refund issued to the customer.

Returned products must be returned in their original, undamaged and unused boxes and have to be shipped in appropriately sized shipping boxes. Item boxes must be protected from moving around in shipping boxes. Products and their individual boxes must be returned in unused, undamaged, sell-able condition, determined by Fountainlady.com to receive credit. Items not meeting these criteria will not be credited and will not be sent back to the customer.

If an order or part of an order which included a “free” bonus item is returned for refund, and the remaining order value drops below the minimum order value for bonus items, the bonus item has to be returned together with the paid item(s), subject to the same care and conditions as outlined in this policy.

All packages returned must have the Return Authorization Number (RMA #) clearly written on the outside of the package. If it is not visible the package will be rejected.

Please save the tracking numbers for packages you are shipping back. We are not responsible for packages lost in transit. We recommend using a method of shipping with tracking to insure the package is not lost in transit. You may use any shipping carrier of your choice to ship your return back to us. However, a refund can not be processed until we receive the return in good condition at the return address given with your RMA number.

You will be notified via email once your return is received and processed. Please allow 3-10 business days after this email to apply credit to your account.

Exchange Policy OR Products Damaged/ Broken during shipment

We do not exchange products due to shipping costs.

We are totally committed to the quality of our products and to the satisfaction of our customers. ALL our products are carefully inspected and safely packaged, BEFORE they leave our warehouse. Any damges incurred during shipping are the responsibility of the shipping company.

We do not exchange products due to shipping costs. We will however, replace any product which has been damaged/ broken during shipping at no cost to the customer as long as an insurance claim is filed and we receive all necessary documents from the customer to resolve the insurance claim. We first will file an insurance claim with the shipping company's insurance carrier and the broken product must be made available by the customer for inspection until any insurance claim is completely processed. Damaged products will be replaced or refunded once the insurance claim has been paid by the insurance company. All insurance claims for damages are between the customer and the shipping company. Fountainlady.com will submit all required information for the insurance claim and work for the benefit of the customer to resolve insurance claims. Please note, USPS has recently changed their policies for processing insurance claims for damaged products. USPS now requires the customer to bring the damaged product, shipping box and shipping materials to a local USPS location for inspection before USPS will pay the inaurance claim. If the customer refuses to take the damaged product to a USPS location for inspection, Fountainlady.com will be unable to refund or replace the damaged product. Fountainlady.com reserves the right to include a return label with the replacement product so that damaged product can be returned to Fountainlady.com.

If an item is received broken, you must submit a claim within 3 days of receiving your shipment. Pictures are the quickest method to show damages. Please see the contact us information on our Fountainlady.com website for contact information. We require a picture of the broken item with all included parts and also a photo of the shipping box and product boxes. Customers must keep all broken products, product boxes, shipping boxes and packing materials until an insurance claim is settled. Please note, USPS has recently changed their policies for processing insurance claims for damaged products. USPS now requires the customer to bring the damaged product, shipping box and shipping materials to a local USPS location for inspection before USPS will pay the inaurance claim. If the customer refuses to take the damaged product to a USPS location for inspection, Fountainlady.com will be unable to refund or replace the damaged product. Once the insurance claim has been processed and paid, we will replace the damaged item or issue a refund. The customer will then be advised to discard broken items, boxes and shipping materials.

All items must be returned in their original packaging.

Replacement items are shipped via ground services of a shipping carrier of our choice.

If the replacement item is out of stock, we will contact you via e-mail and offer an alternate item of equal or higher value or, if you prefer, issue a credit of the returned item’s value.

Return Policy for Incorrect Items Shipped

If we send you an incorrect item, we will arrange to have it picked up at no cost to you. Once we receive the incorrect item, we will then ship the correct item. We can not send the correct product until we receive back the wrong item that was shipped. Unfortunately, we have shipped out the correct item to customers and never received the other item back so we had to implement this policy change.

Replacements are shipped without any additional charges.

If you receive an incorrect item, you must submit a claim via e-mail within 3 days of receiving your shipment. Please see our contact us information on the Fountainlady.com website.

Claims are processed in 1-2 business days.

All replacements of incorrect items are shipped via ground services only to all states except Alaska and Hawaii.

You may request a credit for the cost of the incorrectly shipped item in lieu of a replacement but the product received in error must still be returned.

If the replacement item is out of stock, we will contact you via e-mail and offer an alternate item of at least equal value or, if you prefer, issue a credit for the returned product value.
